What are you scared of? We’re all scared of something. Your art journal is a place for you to be truly honest with yourself and try to figure out why you are who you are. Remember, don’t edit yourself. If you’re scared of rubber ducks for some irrational (irrational to someone else, but not to you) reason, explain why. Perhaps they are associated with a time you almost drowned in the bathtub. This is a time to for you to dig deep into yourself and FIND YOUR TRUTH.
Art Journal Prompt: I am most of afraid of _____________. Why?
Honesty moment: I am most afraid of clowns. My great grandmother made me a clown when I was a baby and my mom was always scared of it, for some reason. She said that every time she would let me play with it, I just screamed and screamed, so she eventually threw it away. A few years later, a woman I knew very well dressed up as a clown for a church play and when she came up to me I burst into hysterical tears. She couldn’t get anywhere near me without me freaking out. I don’t associate clowns with any bad memory, but apparently I hated that first clown so badly that I associated clowns with bad things from that point on. I’ve managed to quell my fear of clowns for the most part, but I’m still not a fan.
