You suck. Admit it. You’re not perfect. I’m not perfect. Who is? No one. Admit it to your art journal.
Art Journal Prompt: I can’t…
By acknowledging something that you can’t do, you free yourself to do something you know you can do. The point of this prompt is not to dwell on the negative but to expell the negative. No one can be great at everything. Come to terms with that. Knowing your limits allows you to focus on your strengths.
Honesty Moment: I can’t zentangle to save my life. I know they are supposed to be freeform doodles but I am too controlled to be good at zentangling. I envy Carly over at True Colors. Her zentangles are nothing short of divine. I can practice, but I am cognizant that my zentangles will never be award-winning.
