It’s been a long time since my last art journal prompt and I’ve been struck with inspiration!
Art Journal Prompt: Look at your paints or inks and pick one color. What does that color say to you? What about the texture and color combined? Don’t like what that supply is saying to you? Then, change its hue, tone, consistency or other trait until you do and create an art journal page by letting that one supply be your guide.
So often, our art is overshadowed by some grandiose message or profound statement that we are trying to convey that we forget that the very medium which helps us convey those messages can be the inspiration for such a message. Listen to your supplies and tools. What do they say to you? How do they make you feel? Your supplies can be one of your greatest muses if you simply let them.
