Here’s another 5 minute art journal page. I’m really getting into these pages as they are quick, simple, let me focus on one or two simple techniques, and I can plow through a couple of them in a short amount of time!
As I tend to be very heavy-handed when I create, I use my 5 minute art journal pages to pull way back. Instead of covering every last inch of the page with paint, color, and/or stamps, I focus on a spot on the page. and let the white be a part of the composition. This has been a great practice for me! This page was beyond simple. I saturated the page with water and added puddles of two different colors of orange and some yellow and let it run and drip by adding even more water. Then, I dried it and added some purple. You do NOT want to mix orange and purple together when they’re wet as you will get mud. Once I was done adding and dripping the purple, I dried it and added hot pink watercolor splatters. A little sharpie sloppy journaling and a date stamp finished this page off. Simple yet beautiful!
Have you created any 5 minute art journal pages? Willing to share? I’d love to see!
