This is one of my personal art journal pages. I love it so much that I thought I’d share it with all of my little Imps!
This page was made by inking the background with Distress Ink (Broken China and Spiced Marmalade, maybe?) and then putting some drywall tape and washi tape on top of it. Then, I applied gesso with a dry brush. Once it was dry, I picked up some Dylusions in “Squeezed Orange” with a paint brush and brushed it over the gesso. After that, I added the “Laugh” starburst design and cut out a Spellbinders (Labels 16) die-cut, then framed the whole thing using black Gelato by smearing it with my finger.
I’m a big ol’ clown, if you hadn’t noticed by now, and I love making people laugh and always laughing myself. This day, I was feeling kind of down and when I found that collage element, I knew it was speaking to me! Use your art journal to remind yourself about the good things in life to help flush the negative. It’s a great use of the therapeutic nature of art.
