I’m so in love with Steampunk. The clothing, the clockwork, the chain, the lace, the leather…I love it all! I wanted to do a tag that captured some of the beauty of Steampunk and here it is! Hope you enjoy!
If you haven’t seen my latest video on YouTube yet…SHAME ON YOU! I am really in love with this tag and how it turned out. I used a ton of products. Hope you like it!
I took a MUCH needed time off from creating and making videos and now…I’M BACK! I made this project a few months ago and wanted to share it with you. The company that makes these shrine boxes can be found by heading over to my >>>ART JOURNALING SUPPLIES PINTEREST BOARD<<<. They have all sorts of shrine boxes in various styles from Halloween and Christmas to Steampunk and religious! Make sure you check out my tutorial on making >>>FAUX RESIN PAPER<<< if you haven’t seen it already!
Okay, I’m the first to admit when I don’t love an art journal page I’ve created. This is one of them. I don’t love the colors, I don’t love the composition, it’s just blah. That being said, sometimes I really enjoy making pages when I don’t concern myself with the beauty of the final product and I had fun making this one. It’s always fun testing products and how they work together. Using water-soluble media on top acrylic really challenges you to ensure that you don’t mess anything up because a little water and the whole thing gets washed away. If you want to seal a page like this, use a spray sealer so that it seals everything under the fine mist of sealant!
Talk to you all soon!
New spooky art journal page!!! I had some fun altering a Mona Lisa face stamp to create a witch on this page. Distress Ink, collage, textile paint, and acrylic paint all came together to create a cool little page. I really love elements of this page, but as a whole it’s not my favorite. Hope you enjoy the techniques I used!
New art journal page!!! This page isn’t one of my favorites, but I really wanted to journal about how Halloween was approaching (the page was made in September). Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I always gets excited about October!!!
This page wasn’t very technique-heavy. It used collage, paint, Distress Ink, canvas, stamps with Archival Ink on tissue paper, and that pretty much called it a day! I have a few more halloween-themed pages heading your way this month!!!
