Hello, all! I’m so sorry I haven’t posted this video on my blog until just now. I’ve been so busy this semester (next semester is supposed to be light in comparison–YAY!).
This art journal page was a fun one to make. There’s lots of machine stitching, acrylic paint, Distress Ink, stamping, and more!
New spooky art journal page!!! I had some fun altering a Mona Lisa face stamp to create a witch on this page. Distress Ink, collage, textile paint, and acrylic paint all came together to create a cool little page. I really love elements of this page, but as a whole it’s not my favorite. Hope you enjoy the techniques I used!
I am running out of room in my Prima Art Journal. I really don’t want to destroy the gorgeous binding on this journal, so I needed to think of a way of using up a bunch of the pages without adding extra thickness on each page. My solution? Glue them together and make a super thick art journal page!
I used mostly distress ink, collage, some acrylic paint, and microbeads! This page is too much fun! It was fun to make and it’s fun to play with now that it’s done!
Another mixed media index card with a bird on it! This video has a funny story on my feelings regarding birds. Hope you get inspired and chuckle a little.
A friend of mine sent me some ATCs and a few goodies a few months ago while I was in school. I told her I’d return the favor but it would take a while because of my busy school schedule. I hope she thinks it was worth the wait!!! This index card, along with the Have Courage ICAD were sent off to her last week and arrived earlier this week, with a few other goodies, of course.
This ICAD was made using the Star Confetti Mask made by UmWow Studio. The 3D texture of the stars with the creamy Antique Linen Distress Ink background really started to get pulled together when I used a Tim Holtz sticker to tie it all together with orange spatters. You know I’ve been obsessed with orange lately! After some machine stitching, some more Distress Inking, and some Tim Holtz rubons, this ICAD was done for my friend Pam! She loved it, hope you do as well!
This page was inspired by both Donna Downey and Vicky P. Vicky inspired my color combination while Donna inspired the picture frame with the wings. This page took me around thirty minutes to complete…gotta love quick art journaling!
The eggshell wings were made about a year ago and I never used them. I traced a pair of wood veneer wings onto chipboard and then collaged eggshells onto the chipboard with some Mod Podge. I used a nail file to make the edges clean. Then, I painted them and glued ’em down! If you want to try the same thing, you’ll need some eggshells but you have to clean them first. Simply boil your eggshells and once they cool, you can peel the membrane off the shells. I keep mine in a little container so they’re always ready and I don’t have to deal with cleaning more shells again soon!
I’ve been really loving playing with my Distress Inks again lately. This easy little ICAD was the results of my playing around one afternoon with my old friend Tim! I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Tim Holtz stamps, Tim Holtz Tissue Tape, and even my Tiny Attacher!
