This ICAD (Index Card a Day) was made upon request, uh…demand is actually more appropriate, by my best friend. We were sitting in my craft room testing out new stamps from Viva Las Vegastamps and she turned to me and said, “Make me an ICAD.” So, I did! I wrote a naughty word on it because we’re a couple of sailors, but covered it up so that she knows the naughty word is there, but can’t see it. The card was made using Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Donna Salazar Mix’d Media Inx, UmWow Studio stencils, Tim Holtz Tissue Tape, and a black Stabilo pen.
While my best friend was at my house, she absconded with one of my other ICADs and I am searching desperately for the footage because it came out very pretty and soft. Oh, well…guess I’ll have to try to duplicate the results!
I’ve been really loving playing with my Distress Inks again lately. This easy little ICAD was the results of my playing around one afternoon with my old friend Tim! I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Tim Holtz stamps, Tim Holtz Tissue Tape, and even my Tiny Attacher!
The ABC Art Journal Series “V” page is here! On this page, I used Tim Holtz Tissue Wrap (I truly adore that stuff) and a ton of acrylic paint and finger painting. Not much more than these two products and I created a page that I truly enjoy and hope you do, too!
The ABC Art Journal Series “U” page is here! This page is made with pretty much only collage and acrylic paint, but I really like how it came out. Hope you like it, too! Remember, new videos will be forthcoming every Sunday until at least the middle of October (that’s when my stash of videos runs dry, so hopefully I can get some new stuff made and recorded)!
The ABC Art Journal Series “S” page is here! In this page, I use Dylusions and Distress Inks exclusively. I used stencils, stamps, and stickers (as well as staples). Lots of S products for the S techniques on the S page, huh? Hope you enjoy!
Hello, all! This art journal page was not part of any series that I do, but it was fun to make nonetheless, so I figured I’d share it!
It all started with some foam cut out using the Tim Holtz Gadget Gears die, which I glued down using Mod Podge. Then, I gesso-ed over the whole page and then added some Yellow Green acrylic paint with my fingers and dried it. Then, I added some gray PanPastel over the top of the gears just to shade them slightly darker. Next, I added some letter stencils using black and white homemade spray paint and some black India Ink drippage. Then, I added some Tim Holtz Tissue Tape with a tiny attacher and put some Recollections alpha stickers on the tape to make the title! This became a really fun and three dimensional page by just using up some left-over foam die-cuts!
And yet one more for my ABC’s of Art Journaling series. In this one, I play with tons of texture, making an old oxidized metal look and old ephemera. Hope you enjoy!
