I’m only a day late on this one! I had it ready to upload and completely forgot to change the date from Monday to Sunday, so it’s here one day late!
Hope you enjoy!

Right now, this is the last video I have edited. Hopefully I’ll have time this week to get some more edited and ready for your viewing pleasure! Keep your fingers crossed for me! I haven’t missed a Sunday yet this semester (okay, I have missed a Sunday or two on my blog, but not on YouTube)!
This page is the back side from my Young at Heart art journal page and because of the machine stitching, the paper had been weakened, so in order to make it sturdier, I used Mod Podge matte to glue some deli paper down, then added some gesso, watercolor (including Distress Ink) and acrylic paint to make the background. I think I love the background more than I love that butterfly image. Though, I must say, that butterfly image was pretty dang cool! Hope you love the page!
Hello, all! I’m so sorry I haven’t posted this video on my blog until just now. I’ve been so busy this semester (next semester is supposed to be light in comparison–YAY!).
This art journal page was a fun one to make. There’s lots of machine stitching, acrylic paint, Distress Ink, stamping, and more!
This ICAD (Index Card a Day) was made upon request, uh…demand is actually more appropriate, by my best friend. We were sitting in my craft room testing out new stamps from Viva Las Vegastamps and she turned to me and said, “Make me an ICAD.” So, I did! I wrote a naughty word on it because we’re a couple of sailors, but covered it up so that she knows the naughty word is there, but can’t see it. The card was made using Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Donna Salazar Mix’d Media Inx, UmWow Studio stencils, Tim Holtz Tissue Tape, and a black Stabilo pen.
While my best friend was at my house, she absconded with one of my other ICADs and I am searching desperately for the footage because it came out very pretty and soft. Oh, well…guess I’ll have to try to duplicate the results!
This mixed media card has a lot of meaning for me, but I didn’t feel the necessity to title it. I used a ton of stamping and Distress Ink with some free motion stitching around the edge of the butterfly’s wings. Hope you enjoy this simple little card.
Sometimes you need to journal about something and other times you just want to get messy. This journal page was very specifically ABOUT SOMETHING for me. I love Paris…the colors of the city, the language, the coffee, the culture, the language. I have never been to Paris, mind you, but I love it. Yeah, I know…what if I hate it when I go? I doubt that quite a lot. But I digress…
This page was made using embossing folders on watercolor paper, lots of fluid acrylic paint, of course I had to use my sewing machine, and a bunch of embellishments. I really enjoyed ripping this page out of my journal to work on it. Hope you enjoy the process!
Another mixed media index card with a bird on it! This video has a funny story on my feelings regarding birds. Hope you get inspired and chuckle a little.
This ICAD (Index Card a Day) started as a way of cleaning up some of the scraps on my table with some collage and then turned into a beautiful little work of art which I sent to my friend Pam! Hope you enjoy the video!
Hello, all!
I went to Joann recently looking for a quilting/darning/free-motion foot for my sewing machine so I could do some…well, free motion stitching. The woman in the sewing department told me that if I wouldn’t need it if I used the nifty little trick in this video! She saved me $20.00 for a new sewing machine foot!
Hope you all like it!
On this page, I wanted to play with the Donna Salazar Mix’d Media Inx which Donna HERSELF had sent to me to play with (SQUEEEEAL!). I used some collage, a ton of the Inx, some UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel), and some canvas to create a page that’s both grungy and polished all at the same time. I’m very happy with the colors on the page, though they aren’t traditionally colors I would reach for!
Did you notice that I used the Faux Resin Paper technique in this video?! It’s very cool on the page and looks even better in person! Here’s the video and some photos of the page to go along with it!
